This one is for the athletes who are in for a challenge. A half triathlon in three days on a unique location in The Netherlands: that is the Half Long Course Weekend. With a total of 3 medals, you can show everyone that you are the one that did it.
The weekend starts off with the Swim on Friday 17 May. This 1.8 km long swim course is one of the most unique open-water swim course in The Netherlands. The second day, Saturday 18 May, will be the Bike day. On this day athletes are up for the 90 km long bike course. Both start and finish will be in the city centre of Reuver. Last but not least: the Run on Sunday 19 May. Athletes will run 21.1 km, also starting and finishing in the centre of Reuver.
Set on the outskirts of Beesel town the new swim venue is a truly unique setting and a stunning location for the start of the Long Course Weekend. The course starts and finishes in a tributary of the historic river Meuse, known as the Dode Maasarm. Set back from the main river, the course offers shelter from the strong currents with crystal clear waters and a fast swim suitable for all abilities. The whole length of this memorable location is flanked by stunning countryside and woodland delivering world-class viewing points for all spectators.
